The principal Water Sanitation Health and Environmental services provided include:
- Advisory: We advise WASHE practitioners in Water, Sanitation,hygiene promotion strategies/approaches, planning, budgeting and programming
- Capacity Development: We conduct capacity development in the following areas:
- Operation and Maintenance including Sustainable Operation Maintenance Programmes (SOMAP) of water systems
- Drilling supervision and monitoring
- Area Pump Minder training
- Masons training
- DWASHE committee training
- VWASHE training
- Water quality analysis and monitoring
- Sanitation: We conduct training of Community Champions, EHTs/CHAs, WDCs, DWASHE, PWASHE in different sanitation approaches such as Community/School Led Total Sanitation and PHAST
- Construction of WASH Infrastructure: we have expertise to conduct construction of:
- Hand Pump Boreholes
- piped water reticulated systems
- dams/weirs and we
- conduct rehabilitation and repair of different water infrastructure
- Needs Assessment, Surveys and Evaluation: SADP conducts needs assessment, baseline and end-line surveys of WASHE projects and also has capacity to conduct end of project evaluation
- Environment: SADP has expertise to conduct climate change awareness programmes and advise on climate change sensitive infrastructure development and agriculture
- Cross-cutting Issues: SADP incorporates HIV/AIDs awareness in all its programmes, climate change, gender inclusive, and disability inclusive and awareness
- Consultancy: Have sufficient expertise to provide technical consultancy on various community targeted infrastructure development programmes and projects.
Resource Mobilization
SADP mainly has two modes of resource mobilization for the implementation of the above stated activities:
- Engages local and international donors through project proposals and bids for projects.
- Implements on behalf of other NGOs, FBOs and government entities.
